A short time line of Extrapack's history
- 1995: Foundation of Extrapack OOD in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
- 2001: Inauguration of Extrapack's first dedicated factory for plastic packaging production. Prior to this, the company used rented premises for manufacturing.
- 2006: Launch of the company's first unit dedicated to the manufacturing of paper bags.
- 2009: Establishment of Extrapack's second factory, equipped with a strong flexoprinting department and three layer blown film extrusion.
- 2014: The company expands into non-woven textile production, installing the first nonwoven PP spunbond production line in Bulgaria.
- 2016: The third Extrapack factory is inaugurated, housing the nonwoven textiles production.
- 2017: In a bid to increase capacity, the company installs a modern setup for the production of double layer (SS) spunbond.
- 2020: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Extrapack launches a meltblown production line, facilitating the production of high-quality masks.
- 2021: With the installation of a third spunbond production line, the company's daily capacity reaches 24,000 kg.
- 2023: The non-woven textile materials division of the company is spun off into a separate brand, ExtraTEX.
